Best Practices Pivotal for Success

School Climate & Culture

Tapestry Public Charter was developed under the premise that it would be focused on students and did not simply develop this idea as a way to market our school. Rather it was rooted in the deepest desires of our founders who were seeking a way for all children to be recognized for their uniqueness, individualization and the core of what makes them magnificent in their own right. With that premise in mind, the mission statement, purpose and even name of the school were developed; All of which focus on centering each day, activity, decision and foundational values on every student who comes to this school.

As a staff, we strive every day to develop personal, meaningful relationships with students and to be engaged and invested not only in their academic learning but personal development as well. We work diligently to be innovative, creative and break the mold of what traditional education dictates versus what meaningful education can achieve. We focus on the development and success of the whole child, remembering that each child who enters our school, because of their ability, not in spite of, has something positive to contribute to the school, the community and the world around them. We do this through the establishment of meaningful relationships with our students, wherein students are seen as more than a collection of data points.
